Alpine Navigation Question

I'm looking at purchasing an older Alpine navigation unit. Its an NVAN-751AS. Does this unit work with an AI-NET head unit (CDA-1004) And what year maps can this unit support? I'm not sure what year that model was made but I'd like to have newer maps (2004-2005) loaded without spending several hundred more for a newer unit

. Can this unit support newer maps? Thanks y'all

I think you are out of luck. When they went to the dvd units (nven851a and newer)
-the cd roms went to the wayside. The dvd units can work with any variation of DVD software.
