check all your connections, sounds like you have a loose one.

sounds like a bad ground.
or maybe your bulbs are not in firmly. check the clips that hold them in

wait, BOTH headlights are shutting off or just one at a time?

A while back, when PW:JDM first started selling their "uber hella jdm yellow" bulbs, they had some problems. Their prongs were kind of fucked, and didn't fit right into the H4 plug. Mine always got really dim or they shut off. Look into what kind of bulbs you're buying.

Do you have aftermarket bulbs installed? I had that before and because of the larger voltage draw, the connectors behind somewhat melted and I had this exact problem for my car. I simply pulled the connectors off some junk cars and spliced them in place of my melted ones. And voila, the problem was solved!

They also sell Nokya or something aftermarket H4 higher voltage harnesses at Schucks/Checker/Kragen and other places.
