I just finished my swap and I have no o2 sensors not the front one or the back. My question is if the o2 sensors are not connected willl the vtec still work? Because as of right now the only cel I have is o2 sensor and I have no vtec.

well you have a cel for the o2 sensor and have no vtec... you kinda answered your own question. hook them up and vtec will return

 

Did that and still no vtec getting kind of pissed now. I put two o2 sensors and now my car runs worse than it did cel is gone but the vtec wont pop. When I connect a wire to the vtec solenoid you can hear it click and I checked the head pressure everything is good,the only thing I can think of now is someone stole my itr cam and put there ls jk jk thanks anyways

 

what year motor? what ecu are you using? what OBD program are you using? did you re-use the SI harness or is it a hack job? any other cels? Timing set right? It sounds like you have something other than an o2 sensor problem

 

99 itr motor stock si cpu well it was untill I got my jumper and now am running a chipped p28 I have no cel anymore, but recently found out that I have a built head and when it was last at the machine shop they did something wrong so I get it back tuesday so we will see what happens

 

If i were you i wouldn't switch out the ecu's until i knew there was nothing wrong with the engine. Deleting the CEL by throwin in a different ecu is never the answer. Hopefully it was just something stupid that was just throwing weird signals to a sensor. GL with the motor, keep us updated

 

wow fixed 1 of the stupidest things the damn oil pan was bent so it wasnt getting enpugh oil thanks for ur help though
