Which one would you go for.. I'm thinking the Bomz.. And even though Bomz is ultra-rice.. it's prolly the best name brand rice you can find for cheap. Any suggestions? My 97 Accord is my daily beater.. but I want a cheap short ram.. I don't want to spend $200+ on a AEM intake.. I have a WRX I throw down big money on. I just want more oomph in the Accord for cheap without sacrificing gas mileage.

Just buy a cheap short ram for the piping and then buy a decent filter (K&N).

 

I don't think I would waste the money at all. It will just make your car louder and not any quicker.

 

Just take out the intake resonator. That will make the car louder for free. About 30 mins of work to get it out. I don't know how it is on the 97, but on my 02, after taking out the resonator, the engine gets cold air from behind the bumper (compared to hot air from behind the radiator with the resonator installed). Didn't notice any performance gains.

 

An intake is not going to add enough to even make a difference, so I would just suggest pulling out the resonator in the bumper and any resonator tubes on the arm. I would also get a drop in K&N filter while you were at it.
