Up for sale is my 1999 Honda Prelude 5 speed with 106,4xx miles. I have owned this car for 4 years after purchasing it from the original owner in July of 2002. This car has always been a California non-smoker vehicle, has never had any major mechanical problems, and if not for a recent purchase I would not be selling it. Please read below for further details & pictures.

With the exception of routine oil changes & one front & rear brake job (which I performed myself) this car has had all major services performed by J&C Import Car Care in North Hollywood, CA, including:

-Timing belt & water pump changed at 78,000 miles

-100,000 mile major service performed in March 2006

-Oil recently changed with Mobil1 SuperSyn 5W30 on 8/8/2006 (I have only used Mobil1 since purchasing the car)

Other additions/modifications:

-All tires changed in February 2006 with BF Goodrich G-Force Sports in the OEM Tire size and car aligned to factory specifications

-Clifford Concept 600 alarm system. Features include keyless entry, motion/tilt sensors, and auto window rollup.

-AEM Cold Air Intake system. This offers slight performance gains, but mainly adds an aggressive engine note. Especially fun when VTEC engages!

I am selling the car as-is, and as such, believe there are a few items which require explanation:

-In April 2003 I was in an accident when someone turned left in front of me. The front bumper, headlights, passenger fender, and hood were replaced. At the time I opted to replace the hood with a carbon fiber variety; however, growing older & perhaps more mature, in October 2005 I replaced that piece with a factory hood purchased locally. However, the result between mixing & matching was that the hood does not align perfectly with the front passenger headlight. Please see pictures for details.

-The front bumper needs to be painted as it has rock chips from freeway driving & some very strong double stick tape (which was used to secure the front spoiler previously on the car). There are also some minor rock chips on the fenders.

-There is a 4 inch dent before the passenger rear wheel well. However, this is barely noticeable because the paint is not scratched.

-There is an intermittent squeak coming from the driver wheel well. My mechanic (J&C) has visually inspected this area twice and sees nothing wrong, and the car drives fine. At this point I am unwilling to have the suspension disassembled to further diagnose this.

Please see below for more pictures! This is my first shot at a webpage, and I can't explain why some pictures are thumbnails and others are not. In any case, I can email higher resolution shots, simply email me – or better yet, come look at the car!!!
