For those who know me, I'm finally going to get back in the game.... at some point. It seems like ever since my turbo integra was stollen nearly 4 years ago, I never really quite got back into having a fun car. I had the white hatchback for like six months, but it never seemed to fill the Integra's shoes. It was a rattle-trap pile of crap. It had power nothing and wasn't too fun to drive.
So I tried to go through the process of making it a sportfwd car last summer, but that sucked to drive on the street even more, so I sold EVERYTHING... and still have some stuff to sell.
I found a smokin' deal on a poor condition black 1994 Civic EX coupe. I bought it for a fair price from an 18 yr old girl who worked in the restaurant under where I was living in LoDo. It didn't start, all the paint was cracking, and it looked like an elephant had sat right on the front emblem among other body problems--the rear right quarter pannel had a sizeable dent and so did the trunklid. The interior smelled like cigarettes pretty bad. The no start turned out to be an ignition coil, so I poured some ethanol in it and took it to emissions to get it passed.
After that, I brought it back and started getting it ready for body work. I installed my Tein flex that I had on the white car, then removed all the trim pieces on the car and all the interior. I drilled out the radiator support/front bulkhead and the fenders, pulled the engine out, then took these pictues:

Then it was off to the dealership. I'm so tired of my cars and seeing other peoples cars where all they really care about is the engine, and everything else is in such shambles. So I scraped my money together and went down to Honda. I had made a list of things that the car needed to be in near showroom shape, and told the parts guy what I needed... his eyebrows raised in astonishment. I ended up getting: front right and left fenders, front bumper cover, front bulkhead/radiator support, front bumper reinforcement, hood, fuel filter, front emblem, window trim pieces (under windows, left and right) b-pillar trim pieces (left and right), antenna, rear bumper cover, rear bumper reenforcement, moon roof glass, rear window seal/trim, and rear emblem. I spent a lot at the dealership.
Here's a photo of some of the stuff from Honda:

Then I took all the above listed parts, and also some more things off of the old hatchback to the body shop (vision CF side mirrors, JDM headlights and corner lights (clear, but clean looking) along with the car. Keep in mind this is in the begining of June.
I told the body shop guy that I want the car to look really clean and would pay for show-quality bodywork and paint. I decided to go with San Marino Red off the '01 Accords. It's a deeper red than the milano red that comes on Civics and Integras. Here's the color:

I also bought a few more parts for the car. This isn't everything I have, but gives you an idea of where I'm going with this. I have mounts, fuel presure regulator, karcepts shift box mounting kit, hybrid-racing.com conversion harness, EP3 bracket and P/S idler pulley, JDM Integra DC5 ITR valve cover and dip stick, 15" x 6.5" 38mm offset Sprint Hart CP-R wheels on 205/50/15 Falken Azenis 615's, Sparco Ring steering wheel with removeable hub and steeringwheel hublock, DCSports Header, annd thats all I can think of right now. Sorry theives, the car isn't a daily driver:

The guy doing the body work does VERY clean work, but he does it all by himself, so it takes a while... like a whole summer.

After paint (San Marino Red):

I still need an engine swap and hondata K-pro stand alone. Accepting donations from a TSX or a RSX Type S. Thanks! Tell me what you think.

Finally got the car back from the body shop, no motor yet. Chassis ready.
Still ridin' high in the front w/o the engine. Going in in October. Just got it back from the body shop. Color is San Marino Red off the Accord Coupe.

Im not trying to be a jerk but you could have saved a ton of money if you bought those parts used. Especially the body panels. You could have found some oem ones cheap . You bought the freaking hood too. Your just throwing your money away. But Good LUCK

Well if you look at the pics... I would venture to guess the answer is yes

Yeah, he was able to get it out no problem so I didn't have to replace it.
And yeah, you're right.... there's nothing like having NEW OEM parts. I didn't even want to mess around with finding flawless used 10 year old parts off of some Civic in the junkyard. It's there for a reason, so I'm going to get body pieces that I KNOW are in good shape because they've never been used or fixed or could be certafit... I just don't like playing the two dollar game anymore of buying used garbage. I'd rather have it done right with one stop to the dealer instead of searching around forums of parted out cars or going to junkyards.
Thanks everyone for the compliments and support, I appreciate it. Pictures will be back on this thread as soon as the car is done at the body shop. I'll tow it home and throw the wheels on and get it ready for the swap, but I probably won't have the engine and everything else until around Christmas. Definatly keep you all updated!
