ECU Question?

Default ECU Question?

I have a DC ZC i just aquired in an EF......I have heard that the PG7 and PM7 are both better to use than the PM6.......so which one is the best of the two 7's and why? Thanks ahead of time!

the PM7 is the factory DOHC ZC ECU - since it is made for the 130hp engine, it has a little better fuel and timing maps than the PG7 which is made for the 118hp D16A1 - contrary to what you might read, the PG7 does not run it rich - both PM7 and PG7 have higher fuel cut-off (at about 7500) than the PM6 (7200) - the PM7 has a speed limiter at about 112mph - the PM7 is sometimes harder to find, and therefore higher priced, than the PG7 - for normal daily driven cars, you cannot notice any difference in how the car runs by running either the PM7 or PG7

Well the guy who i bought the car from had the PM6 in it, so I would like to get my hands on a PM7! Anyone have one laying around?
