Default What motor will fit in a 02 civic ex?

I am needing to replace my d17a2 since it blew and just want to buy another motor that will directly kit in with no mods. I need the engine to bolt up to the trans, motor mount, wiring harness, axles, ect... What motor can I use other than the d17a2 since it is so hard to find for a reasonable price? Also if anyone has the d17a2 for a reasonable price and is local pm me. Thanks Justin

Your options with no modification to the car as it sits right now is a d17a2 that came with the car.

thats correct, a d17a1 will require wiring modifications and the purchase of a new ecu.

^^for most people the civics are their daily drivers. and for alot of people, motor swaps just dont come when we happen to blow our motors. its when we have the money to spend on our cars.

I didn't blow then engine. I bought the car with a blown engine. But from the look of the connection rod that blew off, it seem to have low oil from the burn marks on it.
