Witold Karalow (itr_18) has won the Polish drag racing championship in Turbo FWD class for 2006. He races a Civic Type S in his home country of Poland. Here is a couple of links

I will see if I can get him to come on to this thread to post about his car and drag racing in Poland

Turbocivic94: ))))) )

Thanks guys, mostly to Earl and Earl Performance for best parts and HELP in building the car.

We race on airports (no drag strips or VHT) so its impossible to make such good times like you do. Middle 11's are our best ET's.
EDIT: My civic is one of fastest FWD in europe.
I hope next year will be much faster, we'll have ourr first drag strip in poland.

Wow, it's basically like legal street racing. What about safety like barricades and such for the spectators?

Congrats on the win and you and your teams cars look sweet. (I always wanted a Typhoon...sweet ride.)

yeah, everything is safe, protected, well organised but no vth or any trackbite so we run on bad, dirty grip, so the slicks spins etc.
So the fastest cars are 4x4:

Fastest Typhoon in world - our team's - 9.3 ET
Corvette C3 - we swapped 4x4 from Typhoon (1st vette like that WOW) - 9.3 ET
EVO - 9.5 (one of the fastest EVO's)
Subaru 9.8

Really? Good work! I would like to race with you next year on King Of Europe in Belgium (kingofeurope.net) and we can see who's faster on the same track ;-) Ive met there people that say, they make low 11's but somehow they made only 12's. Im not saying you dont make the low 11's but it will be a pleasure to see you on the track in KoE
Many guys from all europe race there, also from UK

I have heard that KOE will not take place next year?
It would be great to see you at Santa Pod as i'm sure your car would go much quicker there.

At the street legal races in holland last year there was a red civic making mid to low 11 passes..
It made a 11.4 pass at Bitburg germany.

Very good times and congrats on the win.
Not too many fast honda's in Europe.

Me and a friend of mine should both have a low 11 / high 10 sec Civic ready for next season. We have a pretty decent track/airstrip here in Denmark which will be VHT'ed two times a year. Another buddy went 11.34 in his AE86 Corolla this year.

congrats to my neighboor in poland.. i will be visiting my home land Vilnius, Lithuania, and will be providing service/parts for honda/acura performance... have not decided on dyno services yet but its in the thoughts... we should have a integra type r that we are shipping from here to over germany, and we will be picking it up and transporting it to Lithuania.. might be used for racing but mostly just to show what we can do as far as performance, because in Lithuania there is not much honda stuff, mainly german cars.. so maybe we will meet once im there

Anyone can race at test and tune days, you may need to pre-book as these days have limited places, so people get lots of track time, the track is fully prepared all day.

Prices are around 60 GBP for the full day.

The link I posted above will tell you all you need to know.

Hope to see over here sometime.

CRXEE8: Yeah, my car was made with BIG help of Earl and it should make 10's but its not because of no grip in poland. So the stock 4.4 Honda or even 4.2 tranny with drag spool, 26" wheels etc. doesnt work well. On 1st and 2nd gears wheels are spinning even on low boost. So dont be so happy, its not easy to make 10s without real dragstrip.

cpl racing:
We plan to visit UK in 2007 with my civic, 8sec typhoon and 8 sec vette.
We plan to visit sweden, nitrolimpx in germany and KoE if they'll make an event.
Anyone interesed in visiting Poland next season? We plan to make international event with BIG $ prices.
send me some contact to you via PM.
