Default can a chassis be TOO stiff?

a friend of mine was telling me that he felt his car was too stiff after he put on a lot of braces. now my impression is that the stiffer the chassis the better, so that the suspension can work better. h0wever i remember that in rc setups, you get better results if your rc has some chassis flex, so would this also apply to our cars? what do you guys think?

A flexy chassis acts like a fifth spring - it reduces the effectiveness of the suspension components, like you said, which is undesirable.

A chassis could be too stiff for the street for sure. Now a smooth racetrack, you would want the proper chassis stiffness.

If your RC car drove better with a flexy chassis, it was because your suspension was setup poorly (*edit* of setup for a flexy chassis ). A stiffer chassis is better. There is really no negative effects of increasing chassis rigidity (other than increasing weight)...

You can not have a chassis that is too stiff. With a super stiff chassis you can even run softer springs to control suspension movement.

It could not. It is not the job of the chassis to absorb shocks. Its the job of a properly designed suspension to deal with that.
