Default Albert's Green All-motor Street machine....going into retirement!!

After almost 5yrs of racing my 88' honda cr-x, i think it just cant take anymore abuse. I notice a few things that got me concerned that just didnt look right. I notice that the passenger side axle was eatin' thru the fork on the suspension, the slick eatin thu the bumper, cracks on the engine bay next to the mounts, and i even had to resize another linkage do to the motor and tranni moving forward about and inch. Either the body streched and its tweaked, but the motor sits were it shud so i dont understand mainly why my linkage didnt fit anymore. Also noticed that the wheel base was off on both sides, so it seems that the passenger side is shiftin' forward and i cant figure out why. Heres a few pictures i took of the problems i found. With my car runnin its best ET of 11.23@121, after a while my car wasnt pullin' the 60' times it use to get. I found a new cr-x that im hopeing i could swap everything over within a month to try to run at the next west coast event (IDRC) OCT 7 in Arizona...i think its very possible and been workin' on it everyday to try to make it happen:

My sweet sweet cr-x, im gonna miss you:

rear of linkage way short:

axle eatin thru fork:

bumper was never like that:

cracks next to mounts:

Its replacement 88' HondaCr-x Hf:

thinkin of keeping it white for a while:

well im hoping this car will run just as fast and hopefully faster and it shud be ready for Arizona(IDRC)...i'll keep u posted on its progress

thank you for readin' this:

I have sceen some of that stuff before. All of it is very fixable and will only make the car better. I would try to fix it.

I've gone back in fourth with it, but the reason why i think it became a problem is, the sides of the engine bay were cut cuzz the previous owner was going to put and "h" motor and then i bought it with the engine bay already cut so maybe it made it weaker........i would rather beat up a new chassis for another 5yrs which i dont even know if i'll still be racing!!

ya that could be , but you could also "beef" up the area's of concern on the new chassis and then the new one would be good potentially forever ...either way good luck
