Hey all, im putting in a zex nitrous kit and i want to run the left horn button inline with the WOT signal. i see how they have the power wire connected to that thing that turns with the wheel, and i think the ground is just grounded to the steering wheel/column. do i need to take the steering wheel completely off to get a better view?
i searched already and didnt find anybody's how to on how to do this... any help is appreciated.
Thanks
-Austin

the only way to do it without having it wrap around the cloumn is to put it on the power wire going to the horn somewhere after the column but this at the same time makes it so that bot horn buttons will now activate the nitrous so your best bet is to have another master switch where you can shut off the system so that if you accidentally touch the button when you dont want to you dont go flying into something.

cool, thanks for the help. i was planning on running a master switch also and wiring it in with my seatbelt sensor so that when its on, the light shows up on my dash.
And (just thought of this) it tells people that they better put their damn seat belt on cuz things are gonna get crazy, lol

just wire your system to activate when you switch to ground (horn button) and use the existing wiring for the horn. (the wiring going from steering wheel is where you'll cut and when you push horn button it will pluse to ground)

as he said, your horn button creates a ground. i kinda did the same thing on my car for my high boost switch.
i have two switches - one when switched, throws a selenoid that kicks me into high boost – an on/off deal
the other is inline before my horn but after the button. So when switched normally, the horns acts as normal, but when switched it then ground out my solenoid and its high boost via the horn button.
All you have to do is find your horn line underneath the dash, extend wires and get a double-throw switch.
Good luck
