Default Horn used as nitrous activation??

Hey all, im putting in a zex nitrous kit and i want to run the left horn button inline with the WOT signal. i see how they have the power wire connected to that thing that turns with the wheel, and i think the ground is just grounded to the steering wheel/column.

i searched already and didnt find anybody's how to on how to do this... any help is appreciated.

Thanks
-Austin

i know of people doing this, and i know people are always like, "why dont you run it off your horn button, you got 2..." but i dont get how to get the wires down to the end of the column without wrapping the wires around the steering column when i turn the wheel...

It's a switch/button right? Well it's not that hard is it? One is grounded and the other is not. Hook it up like and other switch you would for da NOS. Ya prolly gonna have to remove the wheel unless your real sneaky.

okay youve been watching fast & the furious too much. using the button is very unsafe. whats wrong with WOT? just install it the way its supposed to be installed.

if you re-read my initial post i am using this inline with WOT. I'm doing it this way for a few reasons.
1. Don't know about you but my civic doesn't have the best traction in first gear especially with an extra 50hp behind it. I'd rather spray in 2nd-4th to be safe.
2. I don't want to hit fuel cutoff on accident while spraying in 1st, this could be detrimental.
3. Horn button is very easy to get to without having to reach for a big flashy switch like in F&F...notice i want to use the STOCK horn button in my STOCK steering wheel.

1. i dont own a civic
2. im sure your single cam with I/H/E has a real hard time grabbing traction in the rain uphill
3. sell your sweet *** nos kit and buy GOOD tires
4. if your that worried about hitting fuel cutoff then shift sooner
5. i hope your keeping this on the track

Traction issues? In a civic. . . what are you running??
2. I don't want to hit fuel cutoff on accident while spraying in 1st, this could be detrimental.
There are things that allow you to choose gearing, speed, rpm's etc

wow...i ask for help and this is what i get... now i remember why i stayed away from here...sigh...

im running 13.9's all motor on falken ziex's, not the best, but it'll do for now till they're gone and i'll buy some azenis.

And i know there are things you can buy to tell which gear to spray and at what rpms...but that box costs $250ish and i only spent $200 on the kit, used from a friend. i figured $200 on a nitrous kit, i can't pass that up just to mess around with...

run it on the street? a little...that makes me dumb and illegal if anybody missed that.

so if you wanna make smart *** comments, please take them somewhere else cuz they're not doing me any good.

Why not arm the n2o when you're in 2nd gear if you down't want to spray in first?

So are you just automatically the all-knowing Honda God? And why do you just assume that this guy is an idiot or ricer? He asked how to wire up a switch to his horn button, while still having the WOT switch. That sounds like a pretty good idea.

And why does everyone on here act holier than thou about doing ANYTHING on the street? No one can honestly say that they have never went over the speed limit or raced at least once on the ******* street.

I hope you disconnect the horn if you do this. No faster way to get caught speeding, racing, and spraying if you car is HONKING!

I almost want to say you're pathetic but you're just stupid.

They don't mean it's illegal to spray on the streets (which it is), they're talking about using your horn button as a nitrous switch, that's illegal. ******* put in a flip switch right the expletive in your dash someplace. Just flip it and put the throttle down.... Doesn't have to be some fast and the furious **** w/ steering wheel buttons 'n ****...

I hope while you're working on your horn nitrous button the ******* airbag explodes in your face.
