Default 1987 carburated crx - smokes like a champ - swappable?

So i found a clean *** 87 crx everything perfect no dents, for 1200. I am considering buying and swapping. It smokes so bad that you can not see 2 inches in front of you if you rev it at all. I think its got severe head problems.

I am wondering what work is involved in swapping a fuel injected motor in. Any help is appreciated

You pretty much have to swap over evrything from a 1st gen CRX Si. It's a real bitch. Fuel tank, ines, EVERYTHING.

Try http://www.redpepperracing.com They have a ton of 1st gen guys.

what i would do is buy that rex. and then come buy my 88 hf shell and swap my whole wirering harness and dash and all into the 87. it would look better and be mpfi. ohh and i would definatley talk them down on that price. that is way to high for a blown 1st gen.

dude unless it runs mint and/or is immaculate bodywise, I'd never pay more than 500 bucks for a carb'd 1st gen......
