Alright guys heres my deal I have a:
Ls Motor-170,000miles
T3/T04E-.60m trim
Huge Greddy FMIC
3 in downpipe into 2 1/4 inch exhust
RC 440cc injectors
.38mm TOV wastegate
Some weird drag turbo manifold look at my pic I dont know what it is...
and running Crome
But I will be getting like $5,000 maybe less I dunno about that to build my motor, and I am looking to get 500hp range maybe? maybe more? And I was just wondering what you guys would do if you had that much...I'm sure I want to build an ls block with a gsr head...but dont know where to go from there...would I need a new turbo kit too? Or will my turbo hold that much? Same with my intercooler? What would your set up be with that money?

Well first off thats not a drag manifold.
Your turbo is good to about 425-450whp
5k leaves you a lot of options. LS/VTEC wouls be a nice option but i would worry about putting a solid bottom end together before anything else.
Next look into getting your fuel system sound as well as EMS

AT THE VERY MOST, I would build up a spare b18b block with rods/pistons, for $1600 or so
The rest would not be going into my already well running motor

well since that is my old turbo setup i guess ill tell ya what you bought...the mani, dp(2.5 inch), dump tube and charge piping(although i can see someone butchered the upper part by the tb) was all built by spoolin the turbo is a full-race 60-1 with an s housing the wastegate is innovative and yes it has a greddy ic(type 24 if i remember right) the turbo setup should be good for about 550hp with that turbo maxed out...if i was you i would get a 3 inch down pipe and leave the rest of the kit alone

You asked , thats what I'd do....
if i was you the first thing id do is quit letting morons try to work on your car or give you advice...then after that id buy a set of bigger injectors rods,a decent exhaust,pistons,and a vtec head...i know i sound like an *** but you are asking the wrong set of locals for advice on your car,if you need help i will help point you in the right direction just ask...i know if you buy the right parts you will be extremely happy with thee power your car will produce with that turbo setup...by the way i ran one time at the track with your setup and ran high 11's on a low comp motor with really low levels of boost so that kit does work well

</TD></TR></TABLE>his turbo is big enough for 500hp and i really dont think those cams are needed to make his moderate goal,gsr cams will work fine...and id go with 750cc rc's saturated so you dont need to worry about the resistor box yet they will be big enough to let you grow...otherwise looks good
editdefinately do not try to build your own motor,its not hard but you are too inexperienced..if you need help come into custom imports and ask for my number(steve)

alright guys really good advice so far and i like the sound of them....so I'm pretty sure I will get the gsr head now, but what to do with it? What rods? What pistons? Injectors? i mean sorry to say I am pretty new to the turbo area with integras. I guess I want a car that is mildly built? Cause I guess $5,000 is a lot of money and could easily build a motor that'll whomp on people all day. And here is a pic of my intercooler how much is that able to hold?

. he helped me build my car. and if my 11.2 isnt proof enough, wait a week n i'll go throw down some 10's. if u need help or advice, ask the 2 fastest hondas in oly. not trying to sound cocky, but we've just been doing this for awhile. and we are always down to help the locals get up to speed and build them the car they want. we can get 500whp out of your car for 5k.

ok for 500 hp this is what id do
-forged pistons arias is what i use,but cp,je,wiseco all work fine
-rods..eagles if your budget is tight pauters if you have extra $$$
-if funds allow sleeves are nice insurance but if the tune is well done stock sleeves will hold up for decent amounts of power
-gsr or b16 head...spend money on a set of springs and retainers,i like rocket or supertech personally
-tuning ...contact ht user leed( a.k.a. dave lee) he tuned my car and my buddies..he did an excellent job for an awesome price..i highly recommend
-you will also need a socketed vtec ecu
-if you are using an ls tranny right now id recommend changing it out for a gsr tranny(maybe a jdm unity with the oem lsd or a quaiffe if funds allow)
-i would also buy a sandwich plate(golden eagle) for your lsvtec conversion..it makes it easier to run the vtec supply line as well as a turbo feed line and it is also nice to be sending filtered oil to your turbo

hahah zol! I know you man...of course you're one of the fastest around! I bought steves turbo kit drr! Well you probably already know from seeing BJ in the picture, **** dude yeah I would love for you 2 guys to help me out...I dunno if steve knew that or not but I bought it off josue

Well expecially if you are building a motor, things go wrong....bolts missing/broken..random gaskets, and if you are going ls/vtec its easy to forget somethings, i know i did when i did my first conversion.
Believe me you are going to end up spending more than 5k if you are buying quality parts and doing things right........if you are going to cheap out i would say don't sleeve the block and buy eagle rods (which have been proven to handle well over 600whp but just dont like the higher RPM's as much) Not sleeving the block will save you close to a grand which can goto other things like a nice intake manifold and throttle body as well as a good tune on something like Neptune($150) instead of crome JMO.

yea he knows whats up and he knows how to build a motor but he isnt totally compfortable doing so though...i built his motor for him this last time...he can definately point you in the right direction as far as what to buy though

how come no one mentions constantly going to the dealer? I mean i basically live at the parts counter ordering little seals, o-rings, bolts, pieces, random crap that you cant find anywhere but there.
are you serious? I mean if your building this yourself you will know what I mean when you are going to the honda or acura dealer every other day for something. Like an o-ring for the oil control orfices in the head, or those 28mm crush washers that leak if you dont replace them on all 6 of the 14mm coolant/oil plugs. What about the 3 14mm crush washers in the head?
Or how about all those bolts that look like $hit and are rusty and crappy? Your going to know exactly what I mean once you start.
