Default Ecu question

i have 96 gsr that is obd2 and i want to put a skunk2 or blox intake manifold on my car. I heard since these manifolds dont haave secondaries they r sluggish because vtec on the p72 ecu kicks a 4400. So do i need a chipped p28 to get the adeqate power gains. Or can i keep my p72 and chip it or can i us my vafc 2 to take care of the problem

list of mods;
i/h/e
vafc2
msd ignition
ctr cams
cam gears/ pullys

any help will be appreciated

Chipped P28 or P72 is your best bet...Or P73 stock, then tune...

so the p72 isnt the stock ecu a p73 is. so i can make the stock ecu work even though the intake will not have secondaries. wont the ecu get confused. any more detail on how to find chips/chipped ecus

on a gsr, the stock ecu is a p72. On an ITR, the stock ecu is a p73. If your car is obd2, you can run a p73 ecu since it doesnt look for the iabs. Just know that there are two versions of obd2. Obd2A is 96-99 integra/96-98 civics, and obd2B is 00-01 integra/99-00 civics.

If you want more info about chipped ecu's, please pm me.
