Im rolling on H&R sports, not a big enough drop for my liking, and the ride is a little soft.

Tanabe is a good company, i would believe they have good springs.

Props on searching before posting too!

The best is still full coilovers, but u might be like me and have limited $$$.

Springs is not a BAD idea, its not the best tho. depending on the drop of the springs, u should look to invest in new shocks and a good camber kit.

I have Tanabe springs. The ride is nice, not bouncy at all, but it'd be a lot better if I got some struts that weren't blown.

my bf said he had coils but he didnt like it.. ..not sure why he didnt. ..and i just dont want to spend alot of money on this car so i figured springs was the way to go. and i was told as soon as i put the springs on i have to get allignment. ...i know i need it, but i mean they said go RiGHT after like the drive is H0RRiBLE and if i dont get it right away its all BAD!

Springs are a better option then sleeved coilovers. Everyone I've heard that has gotten sleeved coilovers says it bounces horribly. Yes you will need an alignment, but not right away, If you get a camber kit and you or your b/f is good at eyeballing the camber, then you'll be fine for about two weeks or so. A month is the absolute MAX I would go without getting an alignment. I went a week and nothing blew up....Yet.

BTW here's my car dropped around 1.8 inches or so

That fine, coils are expensive. Springs are a good cheap alternative, but i would have to agree on the alignment ASAP. There can never be a price u put on something that makes ur car safer for you, or other drivers.

you guys also forgot to consider if you have an aftermarket exhaust or not. the thing is if its a catback exhaust, it hangs horribly low. im on a stock spring/stock combo with the stock SI alloys and my exhaust pipe still scrapes up alot of driveways.

I have custom bent exhaust, and only dropped 1.3" and i scrape everywhere, i gotta go get them to re-bend a section near my rear axle.

besides being stock, i cant seem to find any way to prevent scraping on a stock or moderate drop. the way our exhaust systems are made really sucks

i got neuspeed sport springs with tokico HP shocks and the total drop is around 1.75" My aftermarket exhaust also scrapes on most driveways or when pulling into parking lots but what can you do. Ride is very smooth.

They ride like a dream. And, to be honest, it rides a HECK of a lot better than my sister's LX, and I'm lower than she is.

There is a set of TEIN Basic's for sale for $875 CDN but they are used, and i just dont want to spend nearly 900 while im still going to school.
