I know it sounds odd but I need to put a seat in the trunk of my 01 van to take a 10 year old to school. We already have 7 kids sitting in the other seats and need to safely take one more. The school is 3 streets over and there would be no travel on any major roads.

I am not even sure if this is legal but am trying to find out if this can be done.......

Any ideas?

 

Bad generalization, but

No seat belt = can't carry another passenger.

Three streets over? The kid's got two legs....WALK.

 

Just upgrade to an 05. Don't attempt to add a seat it is not safe to do so.
