Default R head on GSR block??? HELP!!!

I have a 94 GSR...recently bought a brand new R head..anything i so know before attempting to put the R head on?? (ex. wiring/intake manifold fitment/ecu compalication on running the R head...) any info will be grately appreciated

put it on and go...the gsr mani wont fit...and the ecu wont run the engine to its full potential

You are going to need a PR3 compatible intake manifold. The GSR one won't work.

Unless it is for a PR3 head, it won't fit.

If it isn't for an C5 or B16. Enjoy the loss of compression.


EDIT:
This what I would do here.

1) Scrap any idea of using a Skunk or Blox I/M.... get an ITR I/M
2) Get a set of JDM ITR pistons.
3) Get a Mugen or Spoon head gasket.

IMO, I don't care for the quality of those intakes and anything bigger would be overkill unless you have bigger cams. To compensate the loss of compression you can use a thinner head gasket... and while the head is off replace the pistons and have an approx. net gain of about 1.3:1 compression points. That bump in compression you will see about 11-13 whp. Now that should put a smile on your face.
