Default do i really need an expensive header?

now i know you guys are sick of seeing all these header threads but its about time for me to pick up something new and id like to get sum feedback...
the setup:
11:1 b16 (stock block)
aebs IM
64-62mm taper tb
sk2s2 cams
reving to 9k
will i do alright with the ITR 4-1 or is it really worth it to spend the extra bucks on a shop header...i figure the ITR will be alright since its designed for an 1.8 and its got a 2.5 in collector...but if the price is right for the amount of extra power ill be making with a quality header i might just have to spend the extra money...
what do you guys think?

but anyways i do need a new header cuz my last one got crushed really bad and IMO its not worth fixing...

the two i was looking at are the rage and the highend tri Y...both are nice pieces, but i dont know if i my setup is good for their full potential...

would just like to hear what the more experienced guys have to say

Here is link to a good header test that may help
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1690447
Some of these headers may not be in your price range but should give you a good idea of the power difference.

Adding a Toda to a B16 is always gonna be a good idea if you ask me, especially with those cams

Given that you are on a budget, have you considered a vibrant J-spec header? They are reasonably priced, quality is good, and they make decent power. They can be had for under $500 I'm pretty sure.

Usually the difference between the copy cat headers and the real thing is only like 2-5hp.. Maybe some people would want to spend the extra $500 for a piece but I sure don't- That should only do one thing - get the major header makers to DROP prices! lol For now I will stick with rage

yeah thats what i figured....i mean more power is always nice, but to drop an extra 500 bux just for 2-5 hp is not worth it to me...for that extra money i could convert to obd1 andditch the VAFC for CROME and make more power...but thats a whole other story...
i have been looking at a lot of header tests and where they make big power on the larger motors, i feel as if the results will be very minimal on my lil 1.6...
pretty much im looking for something that flows good enough for my motor but is not too big....a lot of shops make some bad *** headers for large motors but stick one of those on mine and the lowend and midrange is gonna be crap...it might make nice topend gains but the power across the board will lack...but then again who knows...i dont know much about headers and hopefully someone more knowledgable can school me

All I know is people have done well with the JDM DC sports which is only like $400 or so- This may be what you want- I think a Rage header would do well on my setup but it is a 1834cc 12.6:1 motor.

i'm pretty sure he was giving you his opinion (a very good opinion at that) considering you said "what do you guys think"

if you only want opinions you want to hear....talk to yourself.

yeah i figured the ITR(it is the same as the jdm dc 4-1 right?) is gonna be good enough for my setup...the cool thing about em is that you can pick em up second hand for like 150-200 bux....and the resale value stays the same so when i build a bigger motor i can sell it and then think about a better quality header...
thanks guys

hahaha this guy...
we could sit here and play with words all day long...but it has nothing to do with my question...no **** i dont NEED anything...but if everybody thought like that nobody would be replacing nonbroken parts on their cars...but in this case i do NEED a new header since my other one got crushed shut

Try researching hp gains/price and make an educated decision.

try looking at comptechs headers. they are not badly priced, about the same as a good condition itr header. and they are 4-2-1 so u dont lose low end torque. http://www.kingmotorsports.com king does awesome work and has great service so i would check it out at this site

Then you're wasting your time with a header at all. You will not see anything more than a 2-5hp gain over your stock manifold with a sub $500 header. If you think 2-5hp is not worth anything then just go boost becuz with an all motor honda you're only getting an average of 2-5hp for every few hundred you spend. We all motor guys love it.
