The superbike school kawasaki's had 208 GP's on their bikes, and i thought the tires were ****. After getting beat on at the track all day they didnt look like they had gotten *that* worn out either.

I found my 208GPAs to be a vague on turn-in and mid-turn, especially compared to the Metzeler Racetecs. You?

takeoffs are tires that people use for race/track days. after a few days, they "take them off" their bike and sell them.
they want the most tread possible, so rather than throw them away, the sell the tires for cheap

I'd say they would be okay for commuting but I wouldn't mount them back on to do additional trackdays....

Because you pull them off when you wear away most of the tread that you would want for a trackday. The only good tread left is down the middle which is good for riding around town; hence the only reason why people buy them. I've had takeoffs where the sides were just toasted and anyone trying to do a trackday would eat it.
