well i got me a set of lensos 13 with 22 mh slicks im making 370 right now in my teg. my 2step is set at 4500 for my radial drags & wondering if i put my slicks on will it hurt the tranny or axels with the slicks due to the lower rpm or should it go up. also still have stock axels.

i tried 5800 with the radial drags & it just roasted the tires. i dont build any boost untill 5500 & when boost comes in it hits hard. big turbo. but maybe slicks act totally diffrent.
aslo do u want slicks to spin a little when u are launching to keep from breaking things

you have to launch higher RPM on slicks so it grabs hard out of the hole. If you dont, it will just bog out of the hole and you might as well not run slicks at all.
If you are worried about breaking at the launch, then you may want a little spin out of the hole. Pump up the slicks a little more than usual so its not so "gummy/flat" look. Maybe about 12-14psi. You'll still have to go higher than 4500 rpm or else your too low rpm to get a good launch.

you want to avoid as much shock to the drivetrain as possible when transferring power

so the best way is to just drag the the clutch a little while using the e-brake?
also are u peepz using a low boost for 1st or just going all out?

yes ride the clutch while dragging the e-brake. well yeah. find where the clutch starts to grab but still can be held back with the e-brake.
and in that pass as soon as the e-brake hit the bottom, i was at 28 psi. thats why it spun so bad. i have a new setup, the old was a blitz dual sbc non staged controller, and now have the ITS controller and am still working on launch settings.

i was thinking on buying greddy low boost wireless deal. using that i will be able to launch at the most 14psi. only because with my set up the turbo wont go any lower.
so it will depend on what the 2setp builds up to that point. & with the 14psi that will be launching around 350whp give or take a little
is that actually to much power for a launch or ideal rang.
or does it have to do with tire size ect...

ha ha thats funny.
a new way to datalog, in car camera
on another note i tried some launch practic in front of my house & this is what i came up with.
if i stage one light i can just drag the clutch so the car bairly creeps into the second light hit the e-brake & mash the gas while keeping the clutch at the same spot so its not burning up but enought to put tention on the gears &,let-r-rip!
werd up, going to go play tonight
