Default sat tuner problems with sony headunit

this should be a real easy question for anyone who has installed a sat tuner to their sat radio ready head units. i have a sony mex1gp, it's the gigapanel sony model, well my battery died and i got a new one, but ever since the new battery has been installed, i cant find my sirius tuner when switching modes ( cd,radio, aux, but no sirius) ? anyone know what i need to do to get sirius back in the picture. yes, i had sirius working before the battery died and i have paid for an entire year, so its got to be a resetting feature or something.
as a headunit review, i think the gigapanel feature is neat, and i use it with my apple powerbook despite it saying its not for apples or whatever, i just drag n drop stuff from itunes into the gigapanel folder and voila , 1gb of music on my headunit face. well, someone please help me out.

The reset button is under the faceplate on the HU itself, lower left side. 94

thanks, saw it afterwork, and used a pen but i think the pen is too big. well, today is a new day and im bringing a tack and a small paper clip to stick in the reset hole. hopefully it'll work.

on a side note: if you have a sony sat ready unit, hold off for a lil while longer before you go sat. the sirius tuners for sony headunits have issues, they constnatly need to be reset while driving, or will just shut off while playing sat radio, it's crazy, but i am not alone. reviews for the sir-sny1 tuner are all negative, dei messed up on this tuner. but other tuners for other brands by dei are fine.

well, i found the reset button, it's easy to find , you just remove the faceplate, it's small blue, press reset. anyways, sat radio still doesn't come up? it finds everything except sat radio. am i missing something? i got this installed at a circuit city, i guess time to find my receipt. dammit

you might have to reset the tuner box...have to unplug it from the radio and then plug it back in...i can't remember on the sony tuner boxes if the power is ran with the interface cable or not, if not that should be unplugged also and plugged back in.

yeah i figured i'd have to remove the unit and start unplugging stuff. alright, next question. do i just pull out the head unit, is it a firm tug? and i assume it slides right back in and snaps or clicks back into place once im finished?

got the radio out. unplugged everything. every single wire, plugged it all back in place. then hit the reset button on the unit. then powered up. it's supposed to go through audio sources and say siri. then say connecting...... but.... it did not, sirius does not work for some reason. now i have to find the sirius module, not sure what im gonna do when i find it, but i think im gonna bring my radio to someone at lunch tomorrow and see if someone who has done this before can get it working. i hate this, bc im paying for sirius by the month, 12.50 and its just stupid something simple as a plug n play isnt working.

circuit city looked at it on my lunch break. fixed it in less than an hour, no charge. from what i gather, they just reconnected every wire. now my 2.5 hr road trip wont suck as much.
