My friend just put an aem cold air on his ls. The basic one. It sounds bad ***, and is really loud after the 5000 to 5500 range. After me commenting to him about this he told me that the v2 is louder. Is this true, and also is it louder through the entire rpm range or just after the 5000 to 5500 range like my friends. Thanks

intake is an intake, but as far as louder?..i would say the v2 is slightly louder since the piping is thicker

 

the intake is loud cuz you dont have an exhaust.

 

Ya I know an intake is an intake, and the v2 is a incredibly over priced one, but I just wanted input from different people.

 

v2 might be louder cuz its piping but being louder does not mean its better

 

V2 is a rip off

it looks large on the outside but really there is just a smaller pipe inside of that one so the big one on the outside is just for the look but it does look mean

 

Its a pipe why pay 300$ for it??

exactly, in my opinion...i like the AEM SR better anyway, more top end power...
