Default d-series frankenstein swap

alright when i bought my sedan dx, it came with a blown motor and bad trans. heres when it gets interesting...

i swapped in a stock d16a6 from my si, did a manual conversion, bolted on an hf manual tranny, while maintaining dpfi. i do have a mpfi intake manifold from my crx si. is it worth going mpfi? has anyone used this combination or something similar to this. if so, has anyone ran into any issues after doing this swap.

any feedback would be much appreciated

yes its worth going to mpfi..better mpg, more responsive, the power jump isnt incredible,,but if you ever mod it it will respond better mpfi..with that hf tranny and mpfi you should see some great mpg

this setup is primarly going to be my daily drive, nothing serious, maybe just coil overs and wheels.

mr. speaker, did you have any trouble converting it to mpfi or doing any part of this swap.

ehh, not really. making a manual from an automatic, using an hf tranny besides the stock tranny, and converting from dpfi to mpfi doesnt really make it a frankenstein swap. i just thought it'll be on the same level as a frankenstine swap.

There is a write up on how do to the DPFI to MPFI on this site... It made a little difference when I converted. But if your just looking for good gas mileage then your good to go. Just change distrubitor, run 4 wires from inside the car to the engine bay. Then read on the faq.
