i had bought my hatch with a b16 and a chipped p28 and i want to know if there is jsut a basic chip that you install to run the motor or iff you have to run a specific chip like skunk2 or mugen or something to that effect.

just curious becuse this hatch runs alot better on gas then my other hatch did. it was a 93 with ctr motor and trans....thing ripped like crazy but fricken ran on a full tank for about 160 miles. i blew the head and pistons.... valve droped in second cylinder when i was racing a se-r......valve keeper snapped....i had to move and i sold the shell with block and tranny for only $500....i only had three days before i moved to cali from hawaii cant ship a car that doesnt run.....that sucks donkey *****.....anyways thanks for the help

 

Run a program specific to the motor and ECU. Most places offer several programs for chips depending on what you want, or just buy a stock ECU.

what the guy meant when you bought your car is that, he opened the ecu, socketed a blank chip onto it, and probably loaded crome or uberdata to it, call him up and ask him
