Default tranny grinding in b16a swapd si

to start the tranny is a jdm S1 cable tranny. i didnt think the tranny was any different than my A1 besides the gearing but it was much more difficult to get the clutch cable to fit becasue it seemed shorter? so i trimmed the rubber grommet at the bottom to get it to fit and it helped a little but it was still a tight fit. after i drove it for roughly two weeks now it seems lik it grinds into 2nd 3rd and 4th gear at WOT in vtec at anything over 6,500rpm. it isnt any to loud or wont go into gear you just feel it through the shifter. i was told to tighten up the clutch cable to see if that helps but it didnt do any good.

i need some help here
thanks in advance
jeff

fluid is full??

if clutch cable adjustment didn't help any, and the clutch is still good, it must mean the synchronizers are worn

i was told it wouldnt stay in gear if the fluid were low. i hope the synchros arent worn which they better not be or thats the last motor i buy from hmotors the thing dont even have 500 miles on it and it hasnt done that but for the last 100 or so

Most cable B16 trannys grind. They are so old and abused, it's kinda a fact nowadays.

Try penzoil synchromesh. It works wonders. And if the tranny is too far gone, buy some new 3rd and 4th gear synchros from gearspeed.
