What rod do u guys use for tigging mild steel???

i use 308l on all steel , whether it be stainless or mild.

70s-2 its the only rod you need to keep good for mild steel and 4130 If you only keep this you will never worry about mixing things up.

Stick with the 70-S2. Not a good idea to use stainless filler on mild, as it will not flex at all, where the 70S2 will...which is why it is made for mild . There are times when stainless will work better, but majority of the time, 70S2 is the choice.
