Default Aftermarket steering wheels.

Anyone have any experience (or pointers) with aftermarket steering wheels? I am thinking about buying one (after may airbags went off). I'm looking around on ebay, and they are telling me that they highly recommend a shop to install the steering wheels. Is it easy to install these?

EDIT: They recommend a professional installation because of the risks of accidentally deploying the airbags. In your case, you don't have any working airbags to worry about anyway. There's a how-to on here somewhere, but I'll leave it up to you to find it.

2nd edit: Sorry, I thought the timestamps were for the same day...

I am running A momo Hub, NRG QR, a Sparco 383 in 330mm and using an NRG lock when the wheel is off. I love the wheel , also used a momo monte carlo for a while...liked both of them..LOVE the sparco

yeah, not much to say, its pretty straight forward install...you will have to remove the clockspring and cruise/horn functions with most hubs although i hear hkb makes a hub where you can retain the clockspring so you could technically keep cruise/horn functions but i havent seen them...

Out side of the airbag thing, just look for a nice wheel from a reputable company. It's preference. This is like asking, what shiftknob is the best. Just be sure to find one with an adapter that will work, easy as that.
