Not sure if you could apply that to an H block

pointless, the weak link in the h22 engine "stock" are the ring lands.. and to fix that u should run forged pistons.. and to do that.. u have to sleeve the block.. and when u sleeve the block u have strong walls therefore not needing a filled block..

so filling the block = pointless

Actually, I think this guy was sleeving his block, or it was sleeved one of the 2. And I believe tis is only for open deck blocks, like the A4 not the A1 or JDM H22a.

like mykizism said, the weak link is the ringlands

this method is good for b series blocks because it substitutes completely for sleeving, their stock sleeves are iron so they can run stronger, forged pistons w/o sleeving, and coupled with this filling the block, have a bulletproof setup for less $$

on an h series, half the reason you sleeve is so you can run forged pistons, so this method is pretty worthless, that is unless you tried some of those forged pistons that are supposed to be ok in frm sleeves (mahle, etc....) and ran into sleeve problems with those

Just out of curiosity then, what about the F series blocks? Would this be good for a hybrid build (G23 etc..)?

You're going to listen to this guy?

When using anything like this for a block-guard you need to take into account thermal expansion rates. One material will expand faster than the other... when one does stress risers will occur and you definetely do not want this.

It's been proven that open deck set-ups can handle ample amounts of power... there is no reason to do this modification.
