I need to replace my sons TCU ....so i wonderin' if this is more complex than I think. It's just under the passenger kick panel and you just unplug it, pull it out and slap the new one in right?

Also any ideas where I might find a good replacement at a decent price and respectable quality? My local junk yards are tapped and I'm not paying Honda the 500 skins they want for a new one..........

I would check around the internet for some reputable sites. Maybe even some of the local parts stores in your area. Don't know if I would try E-Bay, (never have before). Shop around. Of course, how long you are willing to wait? Something off the internet could take a while. Good luck, and post your findings please.

PS: Make sure you get the tcu for your specific car (Year, Model, engine ....).

 

or you could resolder it yourself if you can do that sort of thing
