Default which fuel pump? i want specific storries. good bad and indifferent.

i am at a cross roads. i am to the point that the walbro will not be enough for my setup next season. i have 3 possibilities.
1 - twin bosch's (worked well on my t type)
2 - aero eliminator
3 - weldon

new setup:
83mm gsr, maz cams, 1mm over, t3t67ho for now, may be t4t67 top mount by then, 30-35 psi, 1200 rc injectors, bla bla. sfwd car looking for 9.80s+-

price really isnt an option. this is what i have heard:
elim's fall off up top, with twin bosch's, if one fails, you loose half the fuel. and i dont want to go lean. havent really heard bad about the weldon. less price?

what i would like from you, is stories, experience, good and bad. i want to do the fuel system once. figuring -12 from the sump through a filter to the pump(s) -10 or -12 from there through another filter, to the rail, -10 or -8 from the reg to the stock feed as the return.

space really isnt an issue either. like i said i only want to do this once.
thanks for the help.

we run -12 to the filter/pump.... then -6 to the rail.....

is there anything that would outlaw a mechanical pump in sfwd ?? one of those waterman pump setups earl was selling awhile back would be sweet.

i dont see anywhere in the rules where it says mech pumps arent legal, just needs a quick shut off valve. another option...

dave do you need a lift pump for it?

i dont believe so, but it might be a good idea to have a small "prime" pump just to make sure there is pressure there when you go to start it. also, i dont know how well this would work, being the pump is on the motor.... and the gas tank is all the way in the back.... it would have to draw fuel from the back to the front....through filters.... etc etc....

Same here. Had no issues with it thus far. Have not seen the pressure drop at high rpm/pressure.

one of the hotrod cars we work with has the mechcanical pump...sometimes it can build enough pressure to start and sometimes it cant so he has a prime pump on it. i think a lot of it has to do with how overly complicated the fuel system is at the moment due to the nitrous system thats not being used etc. it will all be straighted out for next year.

You don't want to run a mechanical pump from an oem tank in the back of the car.

I run an aeromotive A1000.

my weldon has been great.. loud, but great.

also, the bosch held up really well too for a couple seasons. then I upgraded it to the weldon.
I run all -8. seems to work fine.. (and rated for some rediculous flow numbers/HP ratings)

Eliminator for me. Just make sure that you get the rubber isolation mounts otherwise the pump can be loud when mounted to the body of the car.
