Need help on wiring replacement oem mirrors on 98 accord.
Long story short, I broke my passenger mirror off my 1998 accord 4dr, my car had the non-folding mirror. Instead of buying an single replacement, I wanted a pair that can fold. I opted for some aftermarket replacement oem style mirrors. When I plug them in, everything seem fine until I tried using the power mirror switch. Both side have the same problem, when i push the mirror switch up, it goes down, and visa versa. Does any one know the wiring diagram so I can fix this problem? The wiring for the mirror has 3 wires. Thanks
It's hard to give you an answer without seeing the wires and where they go..
If i were you, id Mix Up wires and see if that works, Like put one wire where the other was, and see if that fixes it,
there probably just backwards..

I'm just wondering if anyone else have the same problem with oem replica mirrors. I guess I can try to give it a shot and mix the wires around since there is only 3 wires.

Is my mirrors functioning weird because I need the US built non-folding mirrors? My car originally came with non-folding mirrors, but I replaced them with the Japan built folding mirrors. Can someone tell me if anyone else that swap out their old non-folding mirrors to folding mirrors have the same problem?

Someone snapped my passenger side off last year on my coupe. I bought an oem replacement that came painted from Majestic Honda that was plug and play. My guess is that you will have to play around with the wiring.

Look at numbers 3 and 4, I think somewhere the wiring is backwards..

How often do you move your mirrors? Personally, I would just leave it as is and just remember that the directions are reversed.
For what it's worth, I have replaced both of my side mirrors on my '99 LX sedan with OEM. They move in the right direction but were also ~ $125 or $150 each... after 25% discount.
When you plug the mirrors in (that plug behind the door's trim), they can only connect one way, right? (it's been several years since I've done this work)
