hi there ; I have an opportunity to pick up a used 2003 ex v6 automatic for what I consider a really good price. I have heard some bad things about this model. Can anyone please voice their opinions ( pro or con ), and also any advice on what I should look for when I inpect\testdrive the car ? Much appreciated, thanks

 

EGR ports getting plugged up is common on the V-6, you can usually feel an engine stumble around 1700 RPM, when coming up to speed.
Make sure the trans doesn't bang going into gears up or down shift.
Get the VIN and see if you can get the dealer to run a VIN staus inquiry for you to see if recalls or updates have been done.

this car will have all of the SAME trans issues as the Acuras did because it uses the same trans but you are not getting a 100K warranty with it...........

 

I have 40,000 miles on my 03 EX V6, and I have had no problems. I'm loving it.
