I have an EX, and I was looking to get the Si spoiler replaced for the lip, so I was wondering, if I take the lip off, will the spoiler drill into the same holes left behind from the lip?

Also, what do I do about the taillight and getting it to light up on the spoiler instead of the actual one behind the trunk?

Well...

if you have tan interior, you cant get the cover in tan ( i believe )

Your best bet is to find someone to SWAP trunks with you
( assuming that you have an si compatible color)

 

I'd rather just buy a spoiler rather than find someone to switch trunks. Any info on the holes situation though?

 

the si wing is mounted differently so the screws wont be the same. youll have to plug the holes swap is better

The trunk swap is a better route than the whole trying to drill/fill holes situation.

 

I wish honda would just make a hfp spoiler for the EX or something... maybe people would stop leeching Si parts. I'm sorry I just don't see the point in making an EX look like an Si.

 

I'm not trying to leech the Si parts, I just like the look. If I wanted to, I could have spent a little bit more and gotten an Si. The EX is a smarter choice for me. I was gonna actually add in my original post that I'm not trying to make my car look like an Si, and that I just like the style, but I decided not to. I guess I should have...

The EX is a smarter choice FOR ME. Better gas mileage, automatic transmission, cheaper msrp, cheaper gasoline(lower octane). Are you seriously asking why some people would prefer an EX over an Si? I'm sure that pretty much all of the Si owners here, intelligent or not, will agree that an EX is more reasonable in some ways than others. You are a complete moron.

 

I can understand your need for an EX, but why make it look like an SI? I'm all about customizing your car to how you like it, and if it's the SI spoiler than so be it, but to me, it would be a more personal touch to get good aftermarket stuff... even though there is none yet, as far as body mods go.

FYI, the Motor Trend Car of the Year was awarded to the whole Civic line, including the hybrid, coupe, sedan, and Si. And I never said I passed up the Si, and frankly, I don't care what your "best choice" is. Your "better choice" is the car you'd choose, and obviously people are going to have other opinions, such as me. Putting your immature statements aside, you are still a moron. Grow up.

The Si to Ex comparison is pretty retarded IMO....

Some people dont even think that the Si is a sports car, regardless of the hp ( which isn't that much and torque....which is ....even less) tied in with the fwd platform.

So if your defending your Fwd car with 139lbs of tq compared to ANOTHER car with sub 139lbs of torque....

your pissing in the wind.


The civic si is a great car FOR THE MONEY

but by NO MEANS... a supercar or some Elite driving machine.

Some people like OEM equipment, I had TL wheels on my Element and chrome TL wheels on my tsx... does that mean it wasn't customized?

Nope.. it means... i liked those wheels
I picked those wheels, along with the volks for my tsx etc etc

Personal preference is a beautiful thing

 

I clearly rationalized why the EX was a logical choice for me in my other posts.

I'm sorry, but why pick on the two innocent people (me and the other EX guy), rather than the guy who had no right whatsoever to offend my car (and furthermore, me), for no apparent reason...not to mention is was totally off topic?

In no way (initially, until he came along) was I comparing the Si to the EX. Therefore, I'm just defending the fact that for many logical reasons, the EX is better for some people than the Si.

Ok, the other guy's comments were harsh and uncalled for. That being said, I didn't called "them" morons. By "them", I understandingly think you misunderstood and believed me to be talking of the other people who thought I was trying to copy their car. I just meant will07si or whatever it is now.

 

Oh, and for defending me before, thank you, I appreciate that.

However, my point is that I don't understand why I was warned but the will guy, who started the whole thing, isn't even mentioned.

I understand, the word moron could have been left out with my reasoning still getting across, and I apologize, it was immature, but nothing so far justifies why will is allowed to do what he did. It really doesn't make sense.
