for a few days now, my abs light and battery light on the dash have been turned on. i did the 15a abs fuse reset under the hood but the abs light is still turn along with the battery lamp. my battery seems fine, i am not quite sure what the problem is because i even did the data link check behind the stereo and there was no code thrown. any help would be appreciated, thanks!

 

With the abs light on it could be brake fluid low. But for the battery light also on. dont know.

 

Check your alternator belt. When my belt broke the battery light, ABS light, and 4ws light all came on.

 

Does it turn on before you start moving or after? You can short that harness with a paperclip. It will beep just the same as the CEL codes do, and it will tell you what the problem is. The wheel sensor could need cleaned...

 

Did you try doing a search? I remember there being a topic about this before, I think it has something to do with low battery voltage and ur ABS unit not being able to function properly.

 

yep i did jump the harness and no code was thrown. the abs and battery lamp turns on once i start the car and does not turn off. it stays like that until obviously when i shut my car off, i never had this problem before.

 

I would also check the output of voltage from your alt. and then check it at your battery. If the voltage differs it could be the power wire coming from the alt. is bad and could cause some electrical issues.

 

replace your power mirror fuse, its the "r/c control" fuse in the driver side pannel. Mine went out and it drove me crazy as hell trying to figure out why the abs light was on.

It could be a faulty ignition switch as well... does the car not want to start sometimes?
