96 honda accord running hot
my 96 honda is running hot we have replaced most things that you would think of radiator, thermostate, hoses, we had the heads checked. we bought a new computer and that fixed part of the problem. the gage goes from middle to hot back to middle the thermostate is opening and there is no blockage. when the car says its hot only one hose is hot the other is cold. when removing the termostate the car dosn't get hot but the fans won't kick on. we have check for air. we don't know what eles it could be if any ones has any sugestions please let me know the car runs good we don't want to replace the motor. but we don't know what else to do. please help i love my car.
Which hose gets hot the top or bottom? And when you took out the t-stat you said the car ran fine and didnt get hot...What do you mean your fans dont kick on? When its in operating temperature if not below it the fans will not kick on. Only when it sense the temp rise. To test your fans just turn on your AC and see if both come on.
Does the gauge Jump Whenever u first start the car? or does it do it after the car is warmed up??
If The gauge jumps around when u just start the car
It could be the coolant temperature sensor, and its located on the left side of the black above the started under the distributor somewhere?
