New pics of Rota's on my DB8 and a camber question
Ok, my question. I have to get my front end alligned.. but my rear camber is out of wack too. My cars not lowered.. so, why woudl it be messed up?
What do I need to do to correct it? Can they re-align the rear as well as the front?
Now, to the pics and even a vid.
Before w/the fat fives:

After w/the Rotas:

And here's a vid of me launching for the first time w/these new (and much much stickier tires) 205/55/15 Yokahama AVS Es100's. Reference it to the video in my sig and you'll see that, even though I still screwed up the launch by riding the lcutch toomuch, it was MUCH MUCH better than the run in my sig.

Flame away and hit me up w/some info on the camber fix.

bad camber on a non-lowered car = suspension damage. Something is bent under there.
Also, why did you get such large tires? 205/50-15 would have been the correct size. Your launch and acceleration would be even better with the proper tire size. Larger diameter tires = lower effective final drive = slower acceleration.

They were my bro-in-laws wheels/tires he bought for his CRX (in the background of one of the pics).
He realized they were too big after the fact.
We were just gonna swap 2 and see how my fat fives looked on his rex and how the rotas looked on the Teg.. But I found a bulge in one of my tires and I had wire showing in 2 (worn bad on the inside).
So, I we decided to just put the rest on there and I'm gonna buy the rota's along w/trading him the fat fives (350+fat fives).
And 55 series tires are the factory tire size for integra's.

So my gear ratio will end up being back to factory.
And that absolutely BLOWs that I might have something bent..

195/55-15 is the factory size for Integras. 205/55-15 is larger in diameter than stock, and it's readily apparent because those tires look alot bigger than stock. 55% of 195 vs. 55% of 205 for the sidewall height.

Was it the front 2 tires?? if so your camber might be fine, but your toe is way out, this will case "scrubbing" and uneven wear of tires.
It is hard to tell but the picturse do not show really bad camber.
Have you had an alignment done?? Did they tell you the camber was off? or are you just guessing because of the tire wear.

Well, I said camber because thats what I remembered it being called when the tires are leaned in too far (camber and castor, right?)
But the toe in and toe out sounds much better (jogged my memory)
I"ve never had an alignment done on this car (owned it since march) but I"ll be having one done very soon.
Can anybody back up the statemnt that if my tires are wearing on the inside on the rear, that I"ve got somethign bent in the rear suspension?

camber is leaning in or out, and that causes some wear.
Toe is how the wheel is pointing. Try this:
Stand up
Poin you feet straight, that is 0 toe
now point the both out wards \ / the is toe out
Now point the both in / \ the is toe in.
If the toe is off it will cause the tires to wear uneven also.
I bet your alignment is just off, and I will also guess that the camber is fine. If you look at th e wheels from the fron do the look straight up and down, or do they look bent in?? Stock camber is very little so they will look pretty much straight up.

Yeah I was saying if the tire definitely leans in with negative camber, but the car is not lowered then there's something bent. If you were just saying camber because of tire wear, then it could be just the toe is off.

Sounds like a rear wheel hit a curb or a really big pothole, causing suspension damage. Could have done by the previous owner of the car. Jack the carup and look for any damaged, worn, stretched suspension components.

I'm gonna do a quick wash of her and I'll get pics of of one of the tires that was on the front so you can see what I mean about the absnormal wear.
