Default No manual Fit???

I went to the local dealership on Thursday of last week, and I was looking to order a Manual Fit in Sport trim, and after a little bit, the salesman came back and said that he didnt know why, but apparently it was next to impossible to get a manual Fit from Honda because they werent making them anymore, what the hell?? He said he could get me an automatic though.

I think that's bullshit. Has anyone else heard about this happening, or was this seller just being a jackass for some reason?? Thanks for reading.

You might have to widen your search but I know my friend gave up (he's in California) and ended up getting an Acura instead after waiting several months to get one in the dealership. I heard a rumor that they may be stopping to make the manual trans for the year but like I said, just a rumor.

Either wait till the next batch (maybe next year?) or continue to wait and check

its hard but you still can get one try placing online quotes to local dealers for what you want and they will give you a call when they have one that is available. i did that and they called me in and even sold me one at msrp because of my online quote. the MT is worth it trust me

Don't believe it. It is more likely that the dealer is insterested in selling you a car that they actually have. Don't let the dealer pick your car for you.

I was just put on a 2 months wait list, and my dealer said he'll be able to get a sport 5speed. Keep looking around.

THe Fits are being as 85% automatic, and only 15% manual. the wait is long, but if you really want one i'm sure it can be done. i bought a manual in May with problems. the longer you wait, the harder it will be.

I tried doing that, I got confused But I will try it again. It's worth a shot. I cant go anywhere with my daughter without borrowing a car, I drive a crx and because I like those cars anyway That's why I would like to get a Fit.

I see. Well that sucks....but this guy here says differently as well....

The dealer guy said he could get me an automatic, but I would still have to wait until November, so he didnt really have one in stock, at least not at that specific dealership, I saw on the net that one of the other local DS have two automatic ones though. Maybe they were hoping to pick it up off them and sell it to me if I wanted an automatic. Though I told him I wasnt intersted in anything but a M/T, and that I was leaving.

I'll look around some more. Thanks guys.
