Default s2000 steering wheel...worth it?

I recently drove my sis's new civic ex and wow...the steering is beautiful! Its so quick and crisp, makes me think about getting a smaller steering wheel for my 5th gen. So I measured mine and it came out to be 14.5inches and went to a Honda dealership and measured a S2000 and it was 14inches....So my question is that .5inch gonna make that big of a difference in the steering responce in a 5th gen lude? If its worth getting then is the install procedure difficult and would the cruise control work? Thanks (i forgot to measure the civic's steering wheel will call my sis and ask her)

.5" on a steering wheel IMO is a noticable difference.

I remember measuring my oem steering wheel to be 15 inches, but I might be wrong.

Hey integra15, i see that u have a the s2000 steering wheel installed, did it feel significantly better from oem one and how hard was the install? ...I thought that installing a different steering wheel on a SH disabled the atts or something? Thanks for the input guys

I was just wondering about the s2000 steering wheel cause the 5th gen steering wheel just feel slugish compared to the new civic and i just wanted to see if i can get the same type of preppiness out of my lude using the s2000 steering wheel. If it works well then i would want it cause of the air bag, cruise control, and the Hondaness ...me no is a racer thats why me no want aftermarket

s2000 steering wheel wont make ur car feel peppier.. if ur car feels sluggish.. its your supension / bushing / ball joints / components that are worn out..

my car feels the same as with the s2k wheel or with the oem wheel.. a wheel wont change what ur looking for..

probably bc her car is like 10 years newer than yours.. ever take that into considerartion.?

maybe try replacing the power steering fluid that might help freshen things up. and when u get money start working on suspension

All the smaller steering wheel will do for you is make it easier for you to manipulate the steering of the car via driver input... it won't change the steering characteristics of the car itself.

I deffianatley think it is worth it, the 1/2" or whatever made a big diff. I think it is the best wheel you could have with an airbag.

Is it possible to put the S2K wheel in a 4th gen and keep the airbag?

^^ I wish I could bring myself to spend $150 on a steering wheel cause that is the one I would buy. Maybe someday!!

And then for RIMS you gotta go with these...But you can find them much cheaper than this..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
