Default Brakes, brakes problems!

Does any1 have an answer to why my ebrake is on all the time. my ebrake handle is down but when i move my car i feel like the ebrake is still locked. like i tried releasing clutch slowly so the car can roll but it doesnt even do that, in order for me to move my car i rev high. its getting annoying. also my brakes, when i press them they sink to the floor. i changed all my brakes. i bled them and everything n i thought my problem would be solved but i still have this stupid problem. i have a feeling maybe my master cylinder or one of the lines are messed up? i tried banging the ebrake with a hammer but nothing happened. did this happen to any1 b4? please help i wanna get my car on the road already. thanks!

LOL you banged on the ebrake with a hammer? I bet that helped alot... The ebrake doesnt use the hydraulic system to operate, its cable operated. Thats why its an "emergency" brake, in case your brake hydraulic system fails. The cable could be too tight and you may want to check that. Its behind the lever under the armrest console. Its very easy to adjust. One of your rear calipers may be seized as well. A seized slider pin can also have the same affect.

The correct name for it is the Park brake or the hand brake. Although you could use it in an emergency. Never call it an emergency brake.

when you changed your rear pads (assuming they are disc) did you make sure that they weren't seized up?

also, you can adjust the parking brake tension, try that.

Try adujsting your hand brake. and then check the rear calipers, the piston maybe be seized. If thats the case slide them out and place a little dab of grease on them.

The problem with all your brakes, is a master cylinder problem. The same thing happened to me. Or it just can be loose. Retighten it to spec.

If you decide to get a new master cylinder, make sure you get a new Master cylinder gasket with it.
