Default Driving shoes?

Just wanted to toss this out there, but what is everyones favorite driving shoe's. For me a good pair of chucks gets the job done but ive seen some guys at the track throw down some serious cash on sparco shoes.

Is it easy to heel toe in those puma's. When I heel toe now the toe of my shoe catches the brake pedal after i shift and go to full throttle.

Chuck Taylors for cheap driving shoes. Piloti DTMs are what I wear now and I like them. Not too damn expensive and are fire retardant.

$10 for used wrestling shoes at Play-It-Again Sports Not fire retardant, but very comfy and better than anything else I've used.

Well, required or not, I won't scoff at someone who's all decked out in fire-retardant stuff. Burning to death does not sound like fun to me.

I just picked up some Reebox driving shoes onsale for $20 (normally $65)...

RBK Driving Evolution shoe

Not bad but I like how my Adidas wrestling shoes fit me better (wider ball and toe area). I intially wanted the Adidas Tuscany driving shoes, but for $20 I was willing to save some money and try out the Reebox. They are very comfortable on the pedals and being that it's low-top it's easier to get on and off and the ankle movement feels better than my Mid-top adidas wrestling shoes. The Adidas wrestling shoes are lighter and more comfortable though, but both the Adidas wrestling and Reebox driving shoes feel excellent when driving!

The more miles I rack up the more I think about fire retardant garments/shoes.

I was just going to post the same link. Another that I used was the Adidas Samba, but not sure if they still make them. Also keep an eye on http://www.footaction.com for Puma driving shoes on sale.

Likewise. I keep seeing these nomex suits for sale, and despite the several hundred dollar pricetag and bling factor, I'm very tempted.

Do those Reeboks come in other colors? I went to the link and the drop down menu for colors only has the blue one.
