Default wideband dosent work??!?!

I have tapped wire d14 on my ecu with both the grey and white wire from my wideband. My gauge still reads 14.68 ALL THE TIME. I am still using my stock o2 sensor. I am using crome pro. In the settings i have disable o2 and o2 heater. I have tried with them enabled and nothing works. Still can't get a reading. Datalogging doset work right either. The only thing tha is working is my ostrich. eveything else is bonk. I can't believe i paid money for this crap. im sooo pissed right now!

You did put the actual wideband O2 sensor in the exhaust pipe, right? unplug the stock sensor at the sensor i.e. under the car.

connect the wideband straight to battery for best readings...if the wideband is gonna be in the car...make a relay for ignition on to the battery...sometimes WB wont read very well if the power source is lacking and or bad ground..so double check all your wiring...

First thing to do is calm down and double check what you are doing.

Also what data cable do you have? What settings? and so on.

Did you select the right wideband? Also did what wideband are you using?

i am using a plxm300. what im refering to is the wideband reading on the guage itself. it reads 14.68 all the time. I am not using the plx sensor though. All i have is the power, ground, and white wire hooked up(d14)... i can't get a reading from my stock o2 sensor.

Um, hook up the whole M300 unit... put the WIDEBAND sensor in the exhaust.. start the car up.. it should read 14.6-7 for 30 seconds or so.. then it will start changing.. it should do the same on the laptop..

why would you, am i missing something. Your wideband, is meant to use with your plx sensor, not your stock o2 sensor....

<<<<<<<<<<< confused

He's not kidding. He bought a used PLX300 from someone without a sensor and is trying to make it work.

Um, just put the PLX sensor in there and run the narrowband wire to it.. or rig it up on a switch so you can switch between the wideband wire and the narrowband wire. There is absolutely no point in logging the narrowband output, so i wouldn't recommend going through the hassle of even trying to get it to work.. if it even does.

ok, i just hooked eveyting up and i am gettting a reading from my wideband. I went for a quick drive to street tune low rpms, but between shift the wideband reads "lean" and my tuner comm on crome reads 17.8. Ive tried to richen it as much as possible on the fuel table, but it still reads "lean"... im kinda worried. how bad is this gonna be... im gonna try to work eveything out tomorrow.

When you let off the throttle it should read dead lean.. say on decel. It hits a map cut, where the ecu stops sending fuel.

ive got $5 on it lasting less then 5 miles. dude i know your trying, but you need absolute full understanding and comprehension(spelling) of how everything you click, unclick, or adjust in crome affects your engine. running it with a bad tune is just as bad as running it with no oil, its only a matter of time. please find someone to tune this for you the first time and maybe give you some basics and some pointers.

cmon guys we all make mistakes. lets get this guy back on track to he can get tuning. john is right on track, ill try to expand.

Whiteintegra: the link you posted is a very good write-up. to use the plx m300 you must use the plx o2 sensor. if you want to keep the stock o2 you must have 2 o2 bungs, just like the write said. it looks like you want to datalog as well so you need to follow #3 on that writeup.

-you want to remove the stock o2 and install the plx o2 (which you already did)
-then to be able to datalog you need to hook the white wire to your o2 sensor output on the ecu pin d14. the only problem here is you will have to stay in open loop all the time with this setup.
-if you want to use closed loop you will need some type of switch, both white and gray wires from the plx will go to the switch. use gray for closed loop and white for open loop and dataloging.

hope this helps. reread the link as well and it should make sense, the plx site also has some good info http://www.plxdevices.com/AppNotes/PLXApp004.pdf
