has anyone heard of eliminating the balance shaft belt on an h22?????

 

Isn't it spun by the timing belt? Or am I totally wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind, I was wrong. It looks like a timing belt, but it is 2 seperate belts.

Just trying to learn.

 

there are kits out there that allow you to remove the entire balancing shaft by putting a billet plug in its place, however, you can just remove the belt itself and it will work fine. The plug kit is more for weight saving then anything else because you don't need the kit to eliminate the ballancing shafts from operating.
