Default BIRD ****

My pant is 4 weeks old and already has 3 spots from bird **** I wiped off that looks as if it ate through a clear coat. The spot can be felt raised, as if maybe somethin is actually ON the paint, and didnt eat through it. I was thinkin maybe wax would help.........any suggestions??? Right on the hood of my car and super disappointing

Thanx a lot

Contact the shop who painted your car. Some aftermarket clear coats are much more sensitive to acidic droppings than others.

That sucks, bird **** is soooooo bad for your paint! Sometimes when the cars come in from being shipped at the dealership i work at bird **** has eaten through the plastic covering used to transport the car.It just sucks.Death to birds!!!!!!

moisturize the spots with soap, then clay it. after that, try waxing it... im not sure if that would get rid of the spots but its worth a try. check out MOBWORKS.com peace.

Baking soda will neutralize the acidic **** it the ****.

Dump some baking soda on it, let it sit for a while, clean it off, and try buffing the spot with a "step one" type wax cleaner. If that doesn't work, try something slightly more abrasive.

HTH.
