It is more work than you can possibly fathom.

Save up and get a registered RHD eg the first go around.

I'm not sure how everyone is coming to the conclusion of what is a waste of someone else's time and money. As for registering a real RHD, yes, it probably will take alot of time, and alot of money.
Swapping the firewall will take time to do it right, but it really doesn't cost alot of money if you shop smart.

Example:
92 civic dx auto, mint condition with bad headgasket $500

EG6 front clip minus motor/tranny from someone who planned on going RHD, but then changed his mind= $350

My stance:
It's not jdm, it's right hand drive
Average people don't attempt this
Building cars is just as fun as driving them
500hp ain't ****, but a quality RHD conversion holds value like woah.
Winters don't pass quickly enough without a project.
It's my car, I'll do what I want.

your right it's not jdm, not everyone does it, it's your car do what you want, and building cars is fun. however, i think 500hp is cool and rhd is pointless unless it's for show.

My logic sucks, except that the car will drive just the same as when it was new. The function will not change.

I don't buy the function > fashion argument from drift kids anyway. Drifting isn't a race, it's a show. How about that for fashion?

the car might drive the same, but you wont.
if only you could make the rest of the country drive on the other side of the road you'd still have function. which function? the function to see oncoming traffic.
not to mention the fact that a blind left turn or a left turn lane with no traffic light is your new enemy.

either way, good luck with your project.

I think i'm a bit slow tonight, but how is turning different? I can see the visbility of oncoming traffic being an issue, but not this.

doh, I forgot about the oncoming traffic argument. I'll accept the downside of blind left turns with the upside of return on investment.

thats just it, he wont be able to see oncoming traffic due to either obstacles (blind left turn) or other cars making left turns in front of him blocking the sight of oncoming vehicles (left turn lane with no light).

haha yep pull the drifting card.

p.s. i run HPDE4 and time attack. look it up. people who are good at drifting *gasp* usually have a background in road racing.

and yea, the car drives the exact same. so you wasted your time and money.

lol as far as i'm concerned, 500 whp street cars are useless aswell, hurray, no traction till 5th! but reguardless, i cee the "winter project" argument, since i have 3 planned already, all motor D15Z1 (a-la-bense) (all im missing is pistons to start it) CR-Vtec (not a single b-series part in my possesion yet) and TSX retrofit (all im missing is the projector headlights that will recieve the retro...and its in the mail)
