can i put a A6 or Z6 head on a HF block?
now i know there are only two valve releves in the pistons but im going to be changing the pistons anyway. does it just bolt down no mods? what head gasket do i use? timing belt?
and what pistons would give me a compresson of around 9.0:1 (this is going to be a turbo motor)
thanks...

Yeah, both of those will bolt right up. If you use the A6 head, just use a stock timing belt. If you use the Z6, use a Z6 belt. You can use any d-series headgasket. As for which pistons, it depends on which head your gonna use. I would seriously recommend going with the Z6 head for flow reasons. Stock for stock, the z6 ports visibly much larger than the vtec-deprived head.
the d16a6 pistons are 9.1:1 but the z6 head raises the compression a bit so i dont think you could run much boost on that with wimpy hf rods and a6 pistons.
accually i aready have a DOHC ZC in my car. this would be a spare motor (i will be turboing it very soon), and i was planing on building the motor with some rods and maybe pistons. i am trying to see what is more cost efective built D series or a B16. i think i can build a D for around 2500 maybe less, and a B16 swap would cost around the same. but i think the best 1/4 mile i could get with the D will be a low 12? turbo of course....
