Correct spelling is Marchesini.

I don't have a/m wheels on my bike, even though the wheels were made by Enkei. If the wheels are well-made, then they will be lighter and stronger than the stock units. Otherwise, they would be only aesthetical upgrades.

IMO, I think the money spent on the wheels could be better spent on something else.

i almost got some Carrozzeria wheels like this guy, but the money would be better spent elsewhere.

Very few people upgrade wheels. Half of them are covered by brakes anyways!

Read about the newer Jamie James ragin' cajun R1. It has BST carbon wheels, and it's gotten some rave reviews.

Don't listen to him/her. A statement like that is made by someone who only likes to coffee-shop-pose. Unless of course, that's what you want to do. Then go for it.

I'd say it's probably best to get wheels from another bike that match up and fit rather then aftermarket. I know some superhawk guys have switched to wheels that I guess are supposedly lighter and seemed to make a difference.

lighter = less unsprung weight = faster acceleration and deceleration
