Howdy, I just went to one of my local honda dealers to test drive a Civic, I was disappointed since they didn't have any manual civics. Irregardless I was given the option to 'pre-order' a Civic Si Sedan. I almost jumped on it except I had a few questions of the group.

He stated that I had to purchase $1,000 in dealer accessories with the Si, I have no problem with that but have other's had to do this and how much did they charge you for labor if they made you purchase these accessories?. I am mostly concerned about them screwing me on labor costs. Has anyone seen an MSRP for the new Si sedan? The dealer didn't have any information, just that he didn't know.

I was flipping through the Brochure and noticed that on about Page 11 it states that the Ex and Si for 2007 will come with a 350 Watt sound system... Just some information for everyone. The text states: "EX and Si models get a 350-watt system with a subwoofer and an added amplifier for big bass..."

I still did not see anything about the new EX or other models (except Si) getting VSA... oh well.

Thanks in advance, most of the other questions I had I found elsewhere. Oh, fuel economy of average 27-28 on the Si is expected? I noticed http://www.fueleconomy.org listed like one person who reported their fuel economy so it wasn't much help.

The other funny thing was this car dealer tried to sell me a 2002 Civic Si hatch, I was like ummm no... He also blamed me for high gas prices because I drove a Buick... He's on crack since I get 23-24mpg average with that bohemith.

Here are some answers to yoru questions....

1. You are NEVER...EVER..>EVER required to purchase ANYTHING installed on a car.. if they telll you welll... we put this on the car... you tell them YOU didn't want it (even if you love it ) and you pay sticker (Si) or invoice (EX).
If the dealer your at does not negotiabe that... you leave and find another dealer... that key word in dealership is ...deal.. if your not getting one you walk.
The guys selling you the car are NOT your friends... u buy a new car... leave... car goes on fire.. come back into dealer... your directed to service.. plain and simple.

2. New Civic Si MSRP has NOT been released yet along with any VSA information OTHER than temple of Vtec.

3. The Si & the EX had that subwoofer setup since 06.

4. Fuel economy on the Si is rather horrible, keep in mind majority of the owners drive it "hard" AND it requires super as per the manual. So if your looking for fuel efficient ... get an ex

Thanks for the info, I know the other dealer I went to didn't require such 'options' and just gave the usual 1-2 months to get the Si. I'm ok with that. I don't drive too 'hard' but I'm sure I couldn't help but do it once and a while. The EX with Navi. Does the EX come factory with the subwoofer and 350watt sound system? I didn't see it on Honda's web site listed as a 'default'. Unless their site is wrong I'm not sure...

yes Ex & Si regardless of navigation both have the 350watt
also thats only for the coupes

not sure about te 07 si sedan yet
