I wear a Joe Rocket phoenix 4.0. It is really really good as far as keeping cool, and has ce approved shoulder, elbow and back armor. I'm not sure how it would do for abrasion resistance though.

I believe mine is called Icon Timax. It's got nicer and tighter mesh than my passenger's jacket (joerocket mesh). That being said, the armor itself is near non-existant, padding and actual armor-wise.

I've got the same jacket. I've been meaning to put it on ebay. I'd hate to go down in it--even at a very slow speed. That thing's one step (tiiiiny step) above a denim jacket.

Ventilation is only good when you're moving. Any jacket will have you sweating when at a standstill.

I know, and some jackets don't vent well even when moving.

The SMX keeps me damn cool when on the move. And when stopped, it's not too bad either.
